How to Clean Mildew in the Shower and on Bathroom Walls

There are a few ways to clean mold in your shower and on bathroom walls. You can spray Clorox® Bleach directly on the areas to be treated. Follow these steps to remove mold in your bathroom with a Clorox® Bleach solution:

  1. Prep
    Spray or wipe the surface with a cloth dipped in warm water.
  2. Mix
    Pour 8 oz of Clorox® Bleach in 1 gallon of water.
  3. Wipe
    Wipe the surface with the bleach solution. Use a sponge to apply.
  4. Wait
    To disinfect, wait 5 minutes.
  5. Rinse
    Rinse with warm water.
  6. Air dry
    Allow the surface to air dry. We recommend that you read the instructions on the label carefully before applying.

Follow these steps to remove mold from your bathroom using undiluted Clorox® Bleach Gel Cleaner:

  1. Apply
    Apply Clorox® Bleach Gel Cleaner directly on the nonporous surface.
  2. Wait
  3. Rinse
    Rinse with warm water.

You can repeat the cleaning process as many times as necessary.
When cleaning, open the windows to ventilate the area, reduce the concentration of fumes, and aid drying. We recommend that you carefully read the instructions on the label before application.
Remember that bleach can discolor clothes, so wear clothes that can get stained in case you get splashed.
